Are you GDPR compliant

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) applies to all companies, anywhere in the world, which process any information about EU citizens. It is global in reach and introduces a new, broader definition of what “personal information” means.

The new regulations come into force on the 25 May 2018 and there are huge punitive fines for non-compliance up to 20 million euro or up to 4% of your annual global turnover.

We recommend that people look at the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) website click on the link ico.org.uk  for more information on the regulation and how to comply.

The regulation will affect companies in different ways; Castles Security Shredding can help you dispose of old paper records and this might be after 7 years. This might be staff records, worksheet, diaries, cheque books, invoices and accounts. We can supply you with our security shredding bags for you to fill then we will collect them when they are filled, or we can collect the information in your own boxes. Once the paperwork is security shred we will issue with a Certificate of Destruction.
